Melanie and Frank were discussing what it means to be well educated in today's world. We discussed how students need to be able to go more deeply into a topic.
Collaborative. To know certain things, and to be able to find out certain things. To be able to navigate information to create your own knowledge.
have a foundation of math and reading literacy along with cultural and global awareness
open-mind and being a continuous learner
Being equipped and ready and to know where to acquire resources to get the job done
To move toward a global understanding of themselves, moving away from egocentrism
It means that you have been taught how to learn and can continue to learn through-out your life.
To be able to access a myriad of resources that you enjoy and need. Well-educated is going to encompass the literacy of technology, not just reading and writing
Be able to collaborate and communicate with other
broad knowledge base, knowing how we learn,

To develop a large cognitive toolset for problem solving.
One who is empathetic to the values, beliefs, and cultures of others and to be able to filter information and validate its authenticity
