My kids see that I am a hard worker!

Sometimes I wish I could just stay home w/my kids and take them to read aloud at the public library.

It's nice to have summers off where I can spend time with my kids.

It is a challenge to be a working mom, esp a single mom. My teaching never ends. In school, at home, but I love my kids. all my kids.

I became a better teacher when I became a Mom...

I think being a teacher helps me to be a good mom!

The challenges are wishing you could save all the children and at least hope you get through to them. Benefits having the same schedule as my own children :-)

The hours are a definite benefit. I call them "mom" hours.

As a retired teacher-mom, I can attest you ladies have it exactly right -- teaching and motherhood are mutually enriching. I learned that lesson 33 years ago.

I am teacher mom in same school as 2 of my kids - one I have in class. Delicate balance but VERY worth it. It's great to share so much of life together.
