Our native trees and birds are being very affected by introduced predators. Is a stoat who kills a kiwi a villain?

issey says

well yes there are villains in nature but we all have different opinions. To me they are all the animals that kill all endangered species.

otalani says

In Room 16 we are also looking at this. Our focus this week has been catergorising types of plants and how humans effect them. We looked around our school

Maia says

I think a stoat who kills a kiwi is a villain because kiwis are endangered and they help eliminate bad insects by eating them, but everyone has their opinions.

Gracie says

no I think there are no villains in nature it's like telling a kid he or she is never allowed lollies again!

Lucy says

Well I think that nothing is a villain because the predators have to kill things to eat. But in a way they are villains.
But everyone has their opinions.

Shayla says

I think there are no villains in nature .Because Everything
everyone needs food! So some animals kill other animals to get their food . Thats the way of life.

Olivia says

There is always going to be heroes and villains in nature. If something eats another thing its not their fault they have to survive somehow!

joe says

I think there are no villains in nature because it is there life cycle and because we will be villains!

Harmony says

I think that there are no villains in nature because bugs have to do what they do to survive in the bush like a life cycle.

jessie says

i don't think there are villains in nature because nothing in nature hurts you or the bush even though the things that live in nature look scary.

Emily says

well I think that there are alot of villains in the bush because
they eat each another

Maddy says

I think there are no Villains in Nature because predators have to kill other animals so they can live and it is also the way of life.

DYLAN says

I think there are villains in nature, humans are the villains because we kill animals that don,t need to be killed. we need to learn to take what we need!

max says

I don't think their are villains in nature, like a killer whale needs to kill a seal for food and if it doesn't have food then it will die.

"liam" says

yes
I think there are villains in nature because like a possums is a villain because it steals our food.

JEDD says

I think there are villains in nature. There are possums which kill kiwis and other animals. They also kill native bush and plants of NZ.

Mrs Fale says

animals do not feel malice or vengeance towards other animals. They kill purely by nature and for their own survival. No there are no animal villains in nature

Maia says

But then again, predators DO need to eat, so I have kind of changed my mind. animals and even predators need to live!

Maia says

And, everything is a predator somehow. Just think of the food chain. A stoat eats a kiwi, a kiwi eats bugs, and bugs eat plants.

"Ed" says

I don't think there are villains and do think there are. I think are because some animals can harm other animals or even kill them. But trees are heros.

Otto says

I think there are villains in nature like animals that harm
or kill other animals. I also think there are heros in nature
like trees

grace says

I don't think there are villans in nature, like a possum needs to kill a kiwi for food if it doesn't then it could die.
