GENERALITIES
Pupils eat sandwiches in school
Some English schools have got cantines .
Pupils can get detentions if they are naughty.
Pupils mustn't wear trainers, hoodies and jeans at school.

Uniforms aren't compulsory / obligatory in some schools but there is always a dresscode to respect.
The G.C.S.E (General Certificate of Secondary Education) is the British equivalent of the French Brevet des Collèges.

There aren't canteens in every school.
"Sit an exam" means ''passer un examen''.
Uniforms are practical in summer and in winter.
For example: Girls wear skirts in summer and trousers in winter.
There aren't any supervisors in British schools.
"Fail an exam" means ''échouer à un examen".
"Pass an exam" means ''réussir un examen''.
There is registration at 8.30 every morning.

British pupils can bring biscuits and tea in some classes, if the teachers allow them to do so.
