Authentic Engagement
What will authentic engagement look like in your class this year?
|
||
Connecting with one of my former students who moved out of the country
Using more technology, allowing kids to want to learn and enjoy Math
interactive
Students actively engaged; motivated to further their own knowledge
Students working together in groups to understand concepts like integers.
It will look like students engaged in learning, using technology, blogging with classmates online about mathematical topics.
students will be working on learning in real life situations, through research and group collaboration
More hands on and getting out of their seats learning. Technology- maybe have the students blog. Collaborative learning.
My students will be authentically engaged through real-life applications and projects that cover the skills learned in class.
I will use lots of technology to motive, engage, and teach the students in a meaningfuill way.
group work where students come up with their own formulas for solving math problems
knowing students, have students participate in hands on activities to 'experience' math
All students participating and involved in the activity
Authentic engagement will look like kids learning/using/understanding math concepts as they discover that math concepts are used everyday and in every way.
Allowing students to branch out into other activities such as archery and fishing to promote interest and incorporating it to physical education.
All students will be participating at all times.
Technology will be part of the regular learning process replacing the textbook.
Interacting with videoconference educators at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and making projects using Google Earth Tours.
I feel my brain is about to explode from all of thei wondrful technology
Grammar practice will come from current literature and be applied to writing strong sentences.
More three dimensional. Skills transferrable to the real world and skills necessary beyond school.
Students will actively create poetry by pulling 6-10 books from library shelves to create a poem using a central theme.
Grammar will not be taught in isolation but through literature, i.e. novels we are reading, short storied we are reading, etc.
Students learning from students with multiple resources available, including me! I am not the know all end all.
I really like the cell phone messages we sent earlier. I think the students would love to be able to use theirs in class. I can see multilple ways to use this
blog daily calorie/food intake.
Through the use of computers, Smartboards, and other types of technology
